Maisnam Meiraba wins Junior Badminton Title Again
Meiraba Luwang of Manipur won the under-19 Boys single title in the Microplex Global and Yonex-Sunrise-All India Junior Ranking Badminton Tournament, 2019. He has won this title consecutively for the third time.
Maisnam Meiraba Luwang beat Aakash Yadav to win the tournament. He was leading 21-9, 12-7 when Yadav retired mid-way due to injury. The tournament held between 23-26 May, at Chennai, Tamil Nadu, under Badminton Association of India (BAI), was organised by Tamil Nadu Badminton Association.
The Tournament is also meant for selection of Junior Indian Team for the upcoming ‘ASIA JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS-2019’ (U19 Team & Individual) to be held at Suzhow, China in 20-28 July 2019.
